Meet the Artist - Vin Meim
Hi! I’m Vin. I’m a white, queer, trans masc, neurodivergent leatherworker and educator who wants to share the joy of leather and kink with as many people as I can.
I work hard to make my classes and products accessible and inclusive to all humans, especially trans and queer folks, disabled folks, and fat folks. And above all, I make fun, high quality shit that is fun to both look at and play with.
I started in leatherwork back in 2016 through an apprenticeship with a local leathersmith in the San Francisco Bay Area, and immediately fell in love with leatherworking. I started teaching leatherwork in 2017 at The Crucible, an industrial arts school in Oakland, CA but unfortunately had to stop when the Covid pandemic shut down in-person classes in 2020.
I moved to Missoula that same year, and kept making delightful leather goods the entire time. And now, in 2024, I am so excited to start teaching again.
If you want to find out about upcoming leatherworking classes, sign up for emails on the homepage, or feel free to reach out to me via email.
